About Me

Srini. Sankara Narayanan, hails from a small town Pudupalayam in the Tiruvannamalai District of Tamil Nadu and was born on 09-08-1962. He completed his schooling from the Govt High School, Pudupalayam and continued his PUC from Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur. He acquired his B.E. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) degree in 1984 from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), Coimbatore under the Madras University & later acquired M.B.A. from the Annamalai University.

He started his career with a MNC at Bangalore and then joined the erstwhile Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in 1987. He served the Organization in the capacity as Assistant Engineer and as Assistant Executive Engineer in the Operation & Maintenance of Distribution of Electricity in the Chennai city such as Anna Nagar, College Road and the peripherals of Chennai city such as Gummidipoondi, and Mamallapuram.

He has also served the prestigious Organisation as its Public Relation Officer and gained experience in Office & Administration works which include the special projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) namely the Madras Augmentation & Up-gradation Project (MAUP) before serving as AEE/Maintenance in Sriperumpudur 400 KV Sub-Station.

He was specially assigned to work as the Executive Assistant to the top ranking Member of the Board including the Director/Transmission Projects.

He was given an opportunity to serve as the GENERAL SECRETARY of the Prestigious TNEB ENGINEERS’ ASSOCIATION during 2011-2013. The major Achievements during his tenure as the General Secretary which include Historic Wage revision especially to the aggrieved Assistant Engineer category, Creation of number of new posts with continuity of Direct recruitment of Assistant Engineers, Construction of new Minnagam at Theni, Prize Distribution to our wards who secured highest marks in +2 and 10 the Standards.

He was deputed to TEDA as General Manager. He is retired as Superintendenting Engineer/TANGEDCO in January 2022.
